B.A.S. Academy Workplace Benefits

All employees od B.A.S. Academy are eligible for the following benefits at the beginning of their employment.

8 Weeks of Paid Vacation – This is meant to be during the student’s summer break. If a faculty member volunteers to teach during a  Summer School Program, they shall be paid an additional $18 per hour to make up for the loss of their vacation time. (NOTE: The vacation time will still be PAID even if the faculty member is working an approved schedule.)

Health Insurance – We participate in a PPO program from Nationwide Insurance at a cost of $80 every two weeks, plus a copay equal to $40 for office visits and $20 for generic pharmaceuticals with a $2,000 annual deductible.

Dental Insurance – We participate in a program from United Healthcare at a cost of $8 every two weeks, this includes up to two cleanings per 12 month period and a maximum annual cost of $1000.

Vision Insurance – We participate in a program from United Healthcare at a cost of $2 every two weeks, plus a copay equal to $10 for office visits. This includes a frame allowance of up to $130.

Life Insurance – We participate in a life insurance program from New York Life Insurance Co at a cost of $X every two weeks, with a playable benefit of up to $1 million.

Short Term Disability – Get up to $5,000 per month if you become unable to work due to a debilitating disability or illness.

Public Pension – Classroom Teachers and School Administrators who are licensed by the State are also covered under the Indiana Teachers Pension.
